The scanner reviews seven signal groups: manufacturer, EU Responsible Person, warnings, product identification, electronic contact, listing image, and declared safety evidence.
For a distance-sale offer covered by the GPSR, check manufacturer identity and contact details, Responsible Person details where the manufacturer is outside the EU, product image and identifiers, and applicable warnings or safety information.
The check expects at least a name and postal address. Electronic contact is assessed separately and must be a valid email address or usable HTTPS URL.
When the manufacturer country is outside the EU/EEA and Northern Ireland, the scanner checks for the Responsible Person’s name, postal address, and electronic address.
Article 19 covers information clearly visible in a distance-sale offer. It complements Article 16, which covers the presence and tasks of the responsible economic operator established in the EU.
The same data groups are reviewed across channels. Automatic public-URL extraction is limited to supported Amazon and Etsy domains; Shopify and other channels can be entered manually.
The score adds passed applicable checks only: manufacturer 25%, Responsible Person 20%, warnings 15%, identification 15%, contact 10%, safety evidence 10%, and image 5%. A review status earns no points. Confidence is calculated separately from input completeness.
The score measures completeness of submitted or extracted signals. It does not certify safety, legal compliance, or document authenticity.
