What information does GPSR Article 19 require?
For online or other distance sales, Article 19 requires the offer to display specified information clearly before purchase. It covers the manufacturer, the Responsible Person when the manufacturer is outside the EU, product identification, and applicable warnings or safety information.
Minimum information in the offer
- Manufacturer name or trade mark, postal address, and electronic address.
- For a non-EU manufacturer, the Responsible Person’s name, postal address, and electronic address.
- An image, product type, and other product identifiers.
- Applicable warnings and safety information required on the product, packaging, or accompanying document.

Product-page example
For a product sold on Amazon, Etsy, or Shopify by a non-EU manufacturer, the offer should present the manufacturer and Responsible Person with the required contact details, identify the product, and display relevant safety warnings. A populated field does not by itself prove that the product is compliant.
